Barbara J. Piper

Barbara J. Piper, affectionately known as Barb, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. Born on January 25, 1946, in Wooster, she lived a life defined by steadfast dedication to her work and deep devotion to her family.

For 44 years, Barb worked at Desenco Inc., bringing to her role a strong work ethic, integrity, and unwavering loyalty. Those who knew her admired her diligence and the genuine care she showed in all she did.

Her greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Dale H. Piper, with whom she shared a warm and meaningful partnership. As a proud mother, she lovingly raised her children: Dale (Denise) Corbin, Todd (Kristen) Popovic, Teresa (Christopher) Karickhoff, Jenny (Jason) McMillin, and Matthew (Esther) Piper, who continue to carry forward the values she taught them. She is also survived by her three sisters, Patricia Jacquet, Susan Carson, and Priscilla Sexton, along with 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy E. and Mary (Barclay) Blosser, and her brother, Gerald Blosser.

Barb was a longtime member of the Columbian Ladies Council 554, reflecting her commitment to her community.
