Barbara J. Anderson

December 5, 1960 March 14, 2026

Marshall, WI

Barbara Jean Anderson, known to all as Barb, was born on December 5, 1960, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to Donald and Agnes Anderson. She passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the age of 65, after a courageous ten-year battle with cancer. Throughout her illness, Barb never let the disease diminish her light, her humor, or her deep love for those around her.

Barb grew up in Beaver Dam and graduated from Beaver Dam High School. She went on to build a long and dedicated career, first with Shopko Pharmacy and Optical, then at WPS, and finally at SSM Health. Known for her warmth and genuine care, she formed lasting friendships wherever she worked and took pride in brightening the days of her coworkers and customers with her smile, conversation, and stories.

In 2003, Barb met the love of her life, Paul Mohrmann, on a mission trip to Atlanta where he was the bus driver. They shared 23 beautiful years together filled with love, laughter, faith, and many cherished adventures, especially their trips to Door County and visits with family. Barb embraced her role in Paul’s family with grace and generosity, helping to raise his four daughters—Jen, Steph, Rachel, and Nikki—while always respecting their relationships with their own mother. She found her greatest joy in her grandsons, Emmitt and Easton, delighting in watching them play sports, cheering them on, and spoiling them with snacks and time at home. Her beloved cats, Bob and Putster, were also constant companions who brought her comfort and joy.

Barb cherished simple pleasures: Monday night Chip Draws at the Fox, bonfires in the driveway with neighbors, browsing craft shows, and her beloved Thursday “Coke and Joke” nights with her closest girlfriends. She was known for her quick wit, sharp mind, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and valued. Her strong faith guided her life with compassion and dedication. Barb faced her long illness with remarkable courage and grace, continuing to live with gratitude and a desire to make others smile until the very end.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Mohrmann; her stepdaughters Jen Kaul (Logan), Steph Daniels (Adam, Emmitt and Easton), Rachel Mohrmann (Mikala Turner), and Nikki Niesen (David); her brother Jim Anderson (Kim) and his family; her brother Bill Anderson (Anita); and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Barb will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, infectious laughter, and the love she so freely shared with her family and friends.
