Barbara Hulet ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Southern Utah Mortuary - Cedar City on Mar. 17, 2026.Barbara Twitchell Hulet, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life centered on faith, family, and service. She was born to Carl and Eula Twitchell, who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Michael Rex Hulet, on November 27, 1964, in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized for eternity in the St. George Temple. Together they built a life grounded in devotion to one another and their family.Barbara was raised in Cedar City where she graduated from Cedar High School. She worked at Mountain Bell as a telephone operator and later office manager. When the company dissolved, she went on to work at St George Federal Credit Union and the Division of Wildlife Resources, until finally taking a job at the Utah Department of Corrections where she worked as the office manager for the warden in Cedar City and then in the finance department in Draper before retiring. She had a talent for making and keeping lifelong friends everywhere she went! She was a devoted mother to five children: Curtis (Ranon), Scott (Lindy), Michelle (Shawn), Travis (stillborn baby), and Marrit (Kirt). Her greatest joy came from her growing posterity. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Rex Hulet, her son Travis, her parents Carl and Eula Hunt Twitchell and her brother Edrick Twitchell. She is survived by her sister, Mona Woolsey and 4 of her children.Throughout her life she faithfully served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She especially loved serving in the Relief Society and treasured her time as a temple worker in the St. George Temple. Her quiet service, compassion, and testimony blessed the lives of many.More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and kindness, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and neighbors who showed love and support during her life, and especially in recent months. We are also deeply thankful for the compassionate care provided by Zions Way Hospice. Her life was a beautiful example of love, service, and enduring faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar City Cemetery.
