Barbara Gail Cloyd Emory

Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara Gail Emory, 84, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 19, 2026 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Bro. Jerry Salsburry officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Barbara Emory, 84 years old of West Monroe, Louisiana. She was born on July 15,1941 and she peacefully passed away on March 15, 2026.

She was an extraordinary, talented, and giving woman that we called Wife, Momma, Mamaw, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Her home was always open to everyone and she always had enough food for whoever stopped by. She was a wonderful baker, an excellent cook, gifted seamstress, a fabulous entertainer, and she had a green thumb like no other. She excelled in any task she was ever given whether it was delivering eggs, working at Cloyd’s Packing House, or managing Patsy’s Big Top.

She enjoyed her years at Crosley Elementary School where she met a lot of her life-long friends. She then attended West Monroe High School and was in the graduating class of 1959. She loved sharing her memories about riding in the quadrille, barrel racing, and rodeos.

She met the love of her life, Jerry, during their rodeo days and they were married in 1961. They were married for 47 years when he passed.

Barbara is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Emory, who she loved and missed very much; her parents, Oliver O. and Louise Cloyd; Her sister Linda Cloyd Sanford and her baby sister Olivia Louise Cloyd.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children: Terry Emory, Rhonda Smith (Tim), Jay Emory (Kellie), Patsy Hutto (Luther), and Janice Cunningham (Max); grandchildren: Renee Wade (Tyler), David Smith (Marisa), Jerryd Emory (Jennifer), Brian Smith, Olivia Hays, Shawna Graham (Josey), Scott Cage (Miranda), Whitson Emory, Robert Emory, and Joslee Gail Emory; great-grandchildren: Natatleigh, Jayden, Lillian, Kadence, Jessalyn, Grayson, Matthew Jr., Jaylee, Caroline, Maelynn, Hollin, Tucker, Risa, and Luke.

The pallbearers will be Jerryd Emory, David Smith, Brian Smith, Scott Cage, Whitson Emory, Robert Emory, and Jayden McManus.

The honorary pallbearers will be Kelton Bacon, Bill Blackstock, L.V. Kane, Harold Snowden, Jimmy Dennig, and Billy Prestidge.
