Barbara Ellen Pitts

Barbara Ellen Pitts, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on February 22, 1954, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of William Luther and Eva Viola (Story) Hall.

A 1971 graduate of Harrisburg High School, Barbara found joy in cake decorating and spent 12 years working as a cook at Jordan’s. She cherished quiet pleasures such as reading, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and watching her favorite television shows, especially Criminal Minds. Above all, she treasured the time spent with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son John Pitts, two brothers, James Hall and Gerald Hall, four sisters, Pauline Bailey, Irene Hall, Aline Conkin, and Annie Kirby, and one grandchild, Montana Shubert.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Matthew (Autumn) Pitts of Alton, Missouri, Jimmie Pitts Jr. of Greenwood, Mississippi, Jerry (Judith) Pitts and Jason (Sabriskia) Pitts, both of Savannah, Tennessee; her daughters, Aimee Wallace of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Jennifer Floyd of Savannah, Tennessee, Krystal (Patrick) Peppers of Harrisburg, and Jocelyn (Troyce) Pitts of Jackson, Tennessee; her brother, Robert (Lorene) Hall of Harrisburg; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
