Barbara Cox

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Cox (Waycross, Georgia), who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Scandrol and Dorothy McGinnis Scandrol. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Cox of Waycross; her children, Leanna White (Tangi) of Columbus, Jessica McLaughlin (Henry, Jr.) of Waycross, Kenny Cox (Amanda) of Manor and Holly Cox (Connor Shoemaker) of Newnan; her grandchildren, Hunter Cox, Cameron Tyre, Stella Smith, Emma Cox, Kenslie Cox, Scarlett Cox and Elijah Shoemaker; and her sister Cindy Shurmatz (John) of Lancaster. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501).
