Barbara Anne Jones

Barbara Anne Jones Age 90

Born October 6th, 1935 - Died March 14th, 2026. Married to James L. Jones for 70 years, and was a military wife. She had three children, Rebecca A., Susan E. and David W. and wife: Xochitl. She had 7 grandchildren, Wayne, Andrew, Elizabeth, Sarah, Alisa, Edilia and Bailey. She had three great-grandchildren, Fox, Stella and Shiloh. She also had a sister Margo Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her daughter Susie, her Mother Mony, her father Edwin, her brothers Jim, Bruce, Richard and David.

She was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and went to see them play many times at Wrigley Field. She enjoyed most sports including golf, softball and bowling. She liked cooking, and took great pleasure preparing Thanksgiving dinner. She made everything by hand and served it on her best China. Her specialty meal were her tacos that she served with a secret homemade sauce. She liked to can foods in Mason jars, from sliced carrots with onion and jalapenos, salsa and strawberry jam. She also liked to cook for people at Southside Church of Christ. She liked to garden as well and she often had a greenhouse in her backyard. That way she could grow plants year-round. She had a gifted green thumb. She always had a very decorative yard.

She didn't have many friends but the ones she did have she truly cherished. She outlived most of them except her special friend Sharon Finn.
