Barbara Ann Sharp, 83, of Lakewood, passed away on March 11, 2026, at UPMC Chautauqua. Born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, on August 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle (Walsh) Beauchat.
Barbara spent her career as a dedicated middle school teacher with the Ridgway School District, where she made a lasting impact on generations of students. She was a longtime member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and greatly enjoyed her winters in Marco Island, Florida. She found simple joy in playing cards and bingo, and most of all in the company of her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Barry Sharp of Lakewood, New York, Brent (Tracy) Sharp of Oberlin, Ohio, and Babette (Jeff) Poteet of Naples, Florida; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Thomas Beauchat of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Richard Beauchat of Titusville, and her twin brother Robert Beauchat of Titusville. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry Sharp, her sister Margaret Lapek, and her brothers Edward and Jack Beauchat.
