Barbara A. Hargrave

Barbara Hargrave, 68, of Rathbone, New York, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2026 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Born on April 12, 1957 in Bradford, New York, to Michael and Barbara Bedient, she lived a life centered on family, service, and the simple joys of the outdoors.

For many years, Barbara worked as an administrative assistant at both the Addison and Campbell-Savona School Districts. She found great pleasure in camping and gardening, and she especially cherished time spent outdoors with the people she loved. Those who knew her will remember her steady presence, her quiet kindness, and the many moments of shared laughter and companionship she created throughout her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of more than 40 years, Michael Hargrave I; her daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Gene Smith; her grandson, Jack Smith; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Heather Hargrave II; and her granddaughter, Lucy Hargrave.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
