BARBARA A. GAFFNEY

Barbara A. Gaffney (Sherry), formerly of Lexington and Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully on March 11 at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of nearly 71 years to the late James M. Gaffney.

A devoted mother, Barbara is survived by her children: James Gaffney Jr. and his wife Sandra of Florida, Elaine Santosuosso and her husband Ronald of Walpole, Kevin Gaffney and his companion Christine Longo of Salem, New Hampshire, Christine Vespucci and her late husband Anthony of Pepperell, Sherry Richardson and her husband Brian of Stratham, New Hampshire, and Lisa D’Arrigo and her husband Peter of Woburn. She was the treasured grandmother of Jilliane, Kristin, Neal, Nicole, Meghan, Kimberly, Matthew, Grace, Anna, Christina, Peter, Joseph, Brianna, and the late Eric, and the great-grandmother of ten. Barbara was the dear sister of Helen Allen of Holyoke and the late James Sherry, and she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for the quiet strength, warmth, and deep devotion she showed to her large and loving family throughout her long life.
