She went to be with the Lord and is together again with her late husband Harold Hayes, on March 14, 2026, in Charlotte, MI, at the age of 93.Ingrid attended Jeffers High School in Painesdale, MI. She has been a resident of Lansing, MI since 1955. Ingrid was known for her love of animals, especially the strays who she never turned her back on.She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sadie (Harma) Sandberg, her husband of 48 years, Harold Hayes, her two sons, Roger and Brian Hayes sister Darlene Siekas, and her brothers Edwin and Elmer. Ingrid is survived by her granddaughter, Misty Breslin, two great grandchildren Blake Hayes and Lori Breslin, cousin Mona Elliot, and good friend Lorri DeShon.The family would like to thank Hope Landing and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care of Ingrid.A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, 301 E. Jefferson, Grand Ledge. A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at North Eagle Cemetery.
