A fighter who approached each day with enthusiasm and determination, Awilda left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Whether in her professional work or personal interactions, she consistently sought to help others and make a meaningful difference.
She dedicated her career to serving others as a psychiatric social worker and case manager, offering support, guidance, and care to many individuals and families. Awilda held both an associate and bachelor’s degree, reflecting her lifelong commitment to education and to the people she served.

She is survived by her son, Segundo L Vega; her daughter, Ivonne L Vega; and her beloved grandchildren, Segundo Leonardo Vega Jr and Yarielis Milagros Vega.
