Avery Pool

Avery Pool, age 87, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Springcreek Nursing & Rehab Center. Born on April 16, 1938, in Deerfield, Michigan, he was the son of Charlie and Helen (Mumford) Pool.

A proud U.S. Marine and veteran, Avery retired from Tecumseh Products Company after 18 years of service. He was known for his hands-on nature, often working on multiple projects at once. A devoted Christian, he openly shared his love of Jesus with everyone he met and maintained a deep, abiding faith. Avery cherished people and was happiest when socializing, laughing, and connecting with those he cared about. He had a special tenderness for babies, holding each one with delight, and his heart overflowed with love and pride for his family. He remained ready to help his children whenever he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Helen Pool; his wife, Nora Pool; three sisters, Susie Thurston, Mary Harris, and Charlene Boekeloo; his son, Ronald Charles Pool; and his stepson, Donald Lewis. Avery is survived by his children, Bob Pool, Richard Pool, Kenneth Pool, Sharin (Scott) Hill, Sandra (Will) Risner, and Debbra Noll; his stepson, Kenneth (Lenora) Lewis; his grandchildren, Delphina, Danielle, Kenneth II, Katrina, Krissy, Krystal, Ashley, Mike, Zach, Tommy, Tony, Chris, Tim, Joey, Cory, Jacob, Melina, and Raquel; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
