Austin T. Apodaca

Austin T. Apodaca, age 22, passed away unexpectedly. A 2023 graduate of Robertson High School, Austin was known for his big personality and the many lifelong friends he made. In April 2024, he began his career with the New Mexico Department of Transportation District 4, where he found work he truly loved and in which he excelled.

Austin embraced life with passion and energy. He was an avid bull rider and snowboarder who lived for adventure, yet his greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved. He cherished every moment shared with family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Antonette; sister, Alexis; brother, Aaron; grandparents, Evaristo and Rebecca; uncles Eric, Everet, and John; aunt Camille; and a large extended family of cousins, including Ryan and Erica. Those who carried his urn included Ivan Pino Jr., Evan Pino, Clyde Sanchez Jr., Adam Martinez, and Patrick Chavez, with Aaron Apodaca, Eric Apodaca, and Evaristo Apodaca serving as honorary urn-bearers.

Austin’s bright spirit will live on in everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
