Ausbin Delane Bryant

Delane Bryant, age 79, of Boaz, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his children.

Born in Attalla, Alabama on May 12, 1946, to James Austin and Arthel Brooks Bryant, Delane—known to his friends as DoBo—lived a life deeply connected to the outdoors and his family. He especially cherished fishing on Guntersville Lake with loved ones. A hardworking man who loved the Lord, his church, and gospel music, he retired from Chrysler in 2012 and spent his later years enjoying the fruits of his labor on his farm. There he often worked cattle with neighbors, rode the back forty with his horse Smokey, and fished in his ponds alongside his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Floise Bryant; his parents, Austin and Arthel Bryant; his sister, Dean Pullen; and his brother, Hampton Bryant.

Delane is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Janice Bryant of Huntsville; sons Jaran Bryant and Danny Bryant, both of Boaz; daughter Suzanne Bryant of Huntsville; grandchildren Haley and Mike Brunick, Hannah and Dillion Roop, and Kaden Bryant, all of Huntsville; great-grandchildren Addy and Rowan Brunick; and brothers and sisters-in-law Kerry and Doris Bryant and Ricky and Debra Bryant, both of Boaz.
