Aurea Galarza ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts of Ocala East Chapel on Mar. 16, 2026.Aurea Esther Galarza, 80, of Ocala, FL, Went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2026 at her residence.Born on June 19, 1945 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to the proud parents of Fermin & Francisca Torres, Aurea moved to Chicago, IL in the1960's and began her career at Chicago Public Schools as a food service manager.She was married for over 60 years to the Love of her Life, Jose R. Galarza and became a widow in 2021. She is survived by her 5 loving children: Jose R. Galarza Jr., Wilfredo Galarza, Leroy Galarza, Lynda Galarza and Fermin Galarza; her 10 beloved grandchildren: Carmen Galarza, Jessica Galarza, Will Galarza Jr., Christopher Galarza, Aracelis Galarza, Leroy Galarza, Jr., Megan Galarza, Claudia L. Jean, Claudine E. Jean and Francia Galarza; and her 8 great-grandchildren: Isabella Metoyer, Christopher Galarza, Aloysia Metoyer, Aislinn Galarza, Rowan Gonzalez, Luna Gonzalez, Tozi Gonzalez and Stephen Galarza Milkau.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
