Audrey Octavia “Tava” Scott, 86, of Roland, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on October 8, 1939, in Pope County, Arkansas, to Velva Okla (Long) Grinstead and William Vernon Grinstead.

On December 27, 1957, Tava married Harold Gene Scott in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Their marriage was marked by deep love and devotion until Harold’s death on February 18, 2021.

Tava spent many years as a secretary at Gans School and later served as secretary for the Town Administrator of Roland. She was admired for her dedication to her work and her community. In her personal time, she found great joy in crafting and in the moments she shared with her family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Carlene Roe of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Sherry Cantrell and Doug of Roland, Oklahoma, and Christina Walters of Rogers, Arkansas. Tava was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Shane Roe and Holly of Muldrow, Eric Roe and Dakota of Muldrow, Chad Lasiter of Sallisaw, Sammy Lasiter and Lisa of North Carolina, Wayne Douglas Cantrell of Roland, Sidney Littrell and Bradley of Tontitown, Arkansas, and Sadie Walters of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Tava was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, her sister Lee Newkirk, and her son-in-law Charles Roe. Her legacy of love, kindness, and creativity will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
