Audra Bruner ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Directors - Garland on Mar. 17, 2026.Audra Mae Kinney Bruner went to claim her reserved seat in Heaven on Sunday morning, March 15, 2026. She was born in Wills Point, Texas to Byrd and Myrtle (Stribling) Kinney. She grew up in Wills Point and Edgewood and was Valedictorian of the 1949 Senior Class of Edgewood High School. She graduated from East Texas State with a Bachelor's degree in 1952. On August 9, 1952, she married James Robert Bruner and they made their home in Shreveport, LA. After leaving Louisiana, they moved to Fort Worth and then Garland where they made their home for 53 years. While living in Garland she taught at Southgate Elementary and South Garland High School. She retired in 1988 after 25 years with Garland ISD. After retirement she and James enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with friends. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
