Aubrey Hinson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home - Alvarado on Mar. 6, 2026.Aubrey Dewayne Hinson was born September 8, 1941, in Dallas, Texas to A.D. and Louise (Sain) Hinson. He was the oldest of two sons and shared his childhood with his brother, Jerry Hinson.Aubrey began school in 1949 in Union Bower, Texas, a suburb of Irving, where his family lived near the Trinity River on Highway 183, close to where the first Dallas Cowboys Stadium was later built. Because of his father's work, Aubrey attended several different schools during his early years. In the sixth grade he moved to Midlothian, Texas. He made many lifelong friends during this time through baseball and other clubs. He graduated from Midlothian High School in 1960 where he would meet his future wife.In 1961, Aubrey married the love of his life, Beverly (Atkeisson) Hinson of Midlothian, Texas. They were married in March of 1961 and shared many wonderful years together. Their marriage was blessed with three children: sons Shawn and Lance, and daughter LaNea. The family made their home in Fort Worth, Texas in 1963, where Aubrey lived for the remainder of his life.Aubrey began his career with Nash Hardware Company, a wholesale hardware distributor, where he worked as a stocker before becoming a purchasing buyer for the company. He remained there until 1976, when the company closed after more than 100 years in business. He then went to work for Higginbotham–Pearlstone Hardware Company, continuing in the same field for another 20 years before retiring in 1996.He spent his retirement doing the things he enjoyed the most, spending time with his family. An avid outdoorsman he spent many days fishing and hunting with his family. His grandchildren spent many summers at his house playing cards, doing puzzles and going on camping trips. He always carried a tune to offer for any occasion. His cheery smile and deep belly laughter filled up the room and will be greatly missed.
