Arturo Franco

May 10, 1976 March 13, 2026

Salina, KS

Arturo Franco, 49, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 13, 2026. Born in Tijuana, Mexico, Arturo grew into a highly intelligent and deeply committed man who took his responsibilities seriously and was someone his family could always count on. He was known for offering thoughtful advice and guidance to those around him.

A passionate football fan from a young age, Arturo played the sport in high school and carried his love for the game throughout his life. He remained a devoted supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers, cheering for them every season. He also cherished listening to the music of Ramón Ayala, which frequently filled family gatherings with warmth and familiarity.

Above all, Arturo was defined by his role within his family. He was a beloved uncle who made his nieces and nephews feel like they were his top priority, while also earning a reputation as the “intimidating uncle” when it came to protecting his nieces from boyfriends and husbands—an expression of care that often brought smiles and laughter. His strength, intelligence, freely shared wisdom, and profound love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Franco; his children, Bryce Franco and Nathalia Franco; his loving mother, Sara Lopez-Garcia; and his siblings, Jose Franco, Rosie Sickler, Gabriela Lucio (Jesus Lucio), Sara Franco (Luis Meza), Claudia Franco, and Ana Ingram. He is also survived by his close nephews, Carlos Franco and Miles Ingram; his best friend, Janzen Knouf; Aldo De Leon and many longtime friends from his youth; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and friends. Arturo was preceded in death by his father, Arturo Franco-Prado; his niece, Hannah Franco; and his great-nephew, JJ Arias.
