Arthur William Stewart, Jr.

Arthur William Stewart, Jr. age 66, of Rison went to be with his Lord on March 15, 2026. He was born May 1, 1959 in Pine Bluff to the late Arthur William Stewart, Sr. and Ruby Pearl Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Stewart and Calvin Stewart, his sister Nancy Ashcraft, his nephews Andrew Stewart and Curtis Ashcraft. Mr. Stewart was a retired surveyor and was an avid hog hunter and Catahoula Dog Breeder. He was also a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Joetta Stewart, his son Kyle Stewart and his wife Valerie, one grandson Avery Ticer, his God Children Phoenix Shalmy, Kira Hart, his sisters Shirley Kier and her husband Ken, Brenda Sallee, and Joy Gossett, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Rison with Rev. Spencer Branch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Black Cemetery.
