Arthur Lee Jenkins Jr.

Arthur Lee Jenkins Jr., 73, of Folsom, Louisiana, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. Born on July 29, 1952, he was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Jenkins Sr., his mother, Almedia Smith Jenkins, his brother Jackson M. Jenkins, his sister-in-law Betty Jenkins, and his sister Darlene Jenkins Kelley.

He is survived by his son, Arthur Lee “Scooter” Jenkins III and his wife Brandy, his brothers John C. Jenkins and his wife Josey, David Jenkins and his wife Carolyn, and Donald Jenkins and his wife Maryanna, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Arthur spent his life as a master of towing vessels on the river, proudly continuing the family tradition begun by his father and siblings. Away from the water, he found deep joy in raising his beloved dogs and cats and in gardening. He possessed a remarkable green thumb, and his family often laughed that he could grow anything—even a rock.

He will be remembered as a devoted father, brother, and grandfather whose quiet strength and love for living things left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
