Arthur Lane Pressley

Arthur Lane Pressley, 61, of the Leicester community in Buncombe County, passed away on March 3, 2026. Born on January 17, 1965, he spent his entire life surrounded by the mountains he cherished, finding peace and joy in camping, hunting, and fishing.

A hardworking man, Arthur devoted himself to his career as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He had a gift for connecting with others and never met a stranger, forming many lasting friendships. He was also a talented craftsman and artist, creating intricate wood carvings and beautiful drawings that reflected his creative spirit.

Faith served as the cornerstone of Arthur’s life. A devoted member of Pinnacle View Missionary Baptist Church in Leicester, he lived with kindness and integrity, serving as an example to those around him. Above all, he treasured his family and the time spent with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn McKinley Pressley; his children, Michael (Maggie), Sandra, Christina “Runt” (Nick), and Cody; his grandchildren, Kolbie, Daniel, Maddie, James, Eric, Erin, Heather, Bryan, and Collin; his siblings, Eugene (Gail) and Lois; and many dear friends.
