Arthur G. Heitzenroder

Arthur George Heitzenroder, of Farmingdale, passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on March 11, 2026, at the age of 89.

He was devoted to his wife and family, a generous and kind-hearted man who cherished time spent with loved ones. Arthur especially enjoyed cruising with family and taking senior bus tours with his wife. He found quiet pleasure in playing Scrabble, Rummy Cubes, and working on puzzles. A longtime communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Farmingdale, he began his career after high school as a butcher with the A&P Tea Company, eventually advancing to a financial advisor role in the meat division and retiring after 60 years of service.

Arthur was predeceased by his parents, his beloved daughter Lisa Snow, and his sister Anna DeSantis. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Heitzenroder; his son Arthur Heitzenroder III and wife Barbara; his daughter Theresa Messer and husband Jeff; son-in-law Larry; brother-in-laws Fred and Bob; sisters Diane Fahey and Alma Morgan; four grandchildren, Daniel, Nori, Laura, and Leilani; five great-grandchildren, Avianna, Laila, Genna, Kobe, and Amber; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
