Arthur Forrest Morrison of Port William, Ohio, a devoted father, grandfather, and dedicated public servant, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on December 28, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Claude Earcel Morrison and Wanda Elaine Chamberland Morrison.

Arthur’s life reflected the steady value of hard work and quiet integrity. For 36 years, he worked as a tool and die maker at Mac Tools/Stanley Works, where his precision, patience, and exceptional craftsmanship earned the deep admiration of his colleagues. In 2000, he realized a longtime goal when he was sworn in as an auxiliary police officer for the Village of Port William. Promoted to Police Chief the following year, he served the community with honor and dedication for more than 16 years until his retirement.

Above all, Arthur cherished his family. He took greatest pride in his daughters, Michelle Morrison and Victoria Layman, and found lasting joy in his two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Sannan and Freya Garrigus. Known for his gentle smile and willingness to lend a helping hand, he connected easily with others and lived with a clear sense of purpose, deep love for his family, and unwavering commitment to the community he protected. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
