Arthur A. Largar

Arthur A. Largar

December 7, 1963 March 13, 2026

Millsboro, DE

Arthur Anthony Largar, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away surrounded by family at home on March 13, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on December 7, 1963, to the late Arthur and Faye Largar, Art will be remembered for his kind spirit, dedication to his family, and remarkable selflessness.

A devoted provider, Art worked numerous jobs around New Jersey and New York City before finding his permanent professional home in 2002 as a Publisher at Rodman Media, where he remained until his passing. Even with demanding work, he always made time to volunteer as a coach for his children’s Little League teams in baseball, softball, and basketball. In his youth, he excelled both on stage and on the field, starring in high school productions, competing in talent and singing competitions, and once hitting a home run off future Major League pitcher Jeff Bittiger. He also won a talent competition that featured a young Patrick Dempsey.

Art was a passionate sports fan and season ticket holder for the New York Giants, cherishing the memory of watching them win four Super Bowl titles. He was equally loyal to the New York Yankees and New Jersey Devils, witnessing a combined ten additional championships from those teams. He loved music, especially Elvis Presley, and took great delight in Godzilla and King Kong films as well as real-world mysteries such as aliens and Bigfoot. Above all, however, Art cherished his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 36 years, Barbara-Ann; his children, Anthony (wife Dallas) and Amanda (wife Gabrielle); his sisters, Beth and Pamela; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his adored Yorkshire Terrier, Harley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Phyllis and his beloved Yorkie Kirby, for whom he broke a lifelong aversion to tattoos to memorialize with ink.
