Arnold Burress ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel on Mar. 10, 2026.Arnold Burress, 94, of Redkey, IN, joined his Lord and Savior in Glory, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Parker Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. Arnold was born in Nicks Creek, TN, on January 11, 1932, a son of the late Ora (Lowe) and Perry Burress. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a machine repairman at Indiana Glass for over 40 years. After his retirement in 1997 he worked at the Fairborn Animal Hospital for ten years. Arnold was formerly on the Redkey Town Board and delivered papers for the Commercial Review. He pastored at Community Chapel Church in New Castle from 65-70 and Redkey Community Baptist Church starting in 1971. He current was a member of Dunkirk Freewill Baptist Church. Arnold enjoyed gardening, hunting, BlueGrass Music, canning, making pies and bee keeping. He will be remembered for his love of the Lord, his church and his family. He led by example, working hard, always being kind to others, and reading his Bible. Arnold is survived by two daughters, Loria J. Pursifull (Eric), Gloria May (Randy), a son,Tim Burress (Stephanie), 3 grandchildren, David May (Tiffany), Erica Kelly (Michael), Tyler Pursifull (Leah), 13 great grandchildren and two sisters, Jill Musgrove and Hope Burress and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild, Kristy May, 1 brother and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12-2 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial and Military Honors will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, IN.
