Arlene M. (Bucci) Geary, of Belmont, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at Belmont Manor Nursing Home at the age of 94.

Born on November 24, 1931, in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Comeau) Bucci. A lifelong resident of Belmont, Arlene graduated from Belmont High School in 1949. She went on to serve the Town of Belmont for more than twenty years in the Treasurer’s Office at Belmont Town Hall, where her diligence, kindness, and warm demeanor left a lasting impression on colleagues and residents alike.

Deeply rooted in her faith, Arlene was a longtime and devoted parishioner of Saint Luke’s Parish in Belmont. She remained actively involved in parish life and organizations, including the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, for many years. Her strong faith guided her throughout her life and brought her great comfort.

Above all, Arlene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who placed her family at the center of her world. She found her greatest joy in caring for her loved ones and sharing time with them. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Geary, Jr., and the cherished grandmother of the late Brendan Grant. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Cathy A. Grant and her husband Casey of Belmont, her grandchildren Lyndsey Bens of South Berwick, Maine, and Shannon Deyermenjian and her wife Kara of Melrose, Massachusetts, and her great-grandchildren Dale and Sam Bens of South Berwick, Maine. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. Arlene will be remembered for her warmth, her steadfast faith, her gentle spirit, and the quiet, devoted care she gave to everyone she loved.
