She passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 16, 2026.Arlene had an active life. She married Carleton Woodward in 1948 and lived in Keene, NH. They had three children, Dale, Bruce and Linda. She later married Richard (Rick) Sherman and together they owned property in Putney, VT. They had 100 acres with a trout pond and two horses that they loved and rode often. Richard passed away in 1978. Arlene later moved to Oldsmar, FL. She had many friends and enjoyed travelling to many places including Europe.Arlene liked to stay busy. Her favorite saying was "move it or lose it." She also lived at Spofford Lake, and Dublin, NH. In her later years she moved to Charlotte, NC to be near her daughter Linda. Her son Bruce moved to Charlotte with his family and later her son Dale decided to retire to Charlotte as well.Arlene enjoyed many years with her kids and grandchildren celebrating birthday celebrations and holidays together. She loved attending Carmel Baptist Church where she participated in different clubs and organizations.Arlene is survived by her brother Ronald, her son Dale and his wife Suzanne, grandchildren: Karin Soweid, Brian Polak, Lindsey Woodward, Brittany Woodward. Greatgrandchildren: Chloe and Cedric Soweid, Ryder and Rosie Woodward, and Jack Casner.Her son Bruce and his wife Sarah. Grandchildren, Carolyn and Peter Sartori, Chris Woodward, Michelle and Matt Palasek, Katie Woodward. Greatgrandchildren: Rocco and Natalia Sartori, Zofia and Sam Palasek, Elianna and Sadie Kazakynas.Her daughter Linda and her husband Timothy, their children Chelsea and Oliver and Marissa Leo.Per her family request, Arlene's remains will be placed at her childhood summer retreat at Lewis Bay, Cape Cod.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
