Durkot, age 85 of Sparta, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Brookmont Healthcare Center in Effort, PA.Arlene was born in Paterson, NJ on October 10, 1940, daughter of the late Peter G. and Clara (Sikkema) Decker.She was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Edmond Goritski and her 2nd husband John J. Durkot.Arlene had worked as a bus driver for the Sparta Township Board of Education in Sparta, NJ for many years, until retiring.She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary in Sparta, NJ.We have been blessed with the presence of Arlene in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her daughters: Donna A. Kincaid and husband Timothy Pirretti of Lafayette, NJ,Dianne Fischer and husband Michael of Sciota, PA with whom she resided and Debra Goritski of Andover, NJ.Arlene was the loving grandmother to: Rheannon and husband David, Lyndsay and husband Timothy, Aimee, Amanda, Kyle and wife Gabby, Sydnee and husband Tom, Nicole and husband Matt and twelve great grandchildren.She is also survived by three brothers: Gary Decker, Peter Decker, Walter Decker and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two siblings: Robert Decker and Bernice Tanis.Arlene will be laid to rest in the future at the Sparta Presbyterian Methodist Cemetery in Sparta, NJ.Memorial donations may be made In Loving Memory of Arlene C.
