Ariz Bitri

Ariz Bitri, of West Roxbury, passed away on March 16, 2026. He was 84 years old.

Ariz was born and raised in Vlore, Albania. He proudly enjoyed a 35-year career as a teacher, before immigrating to the U.S. in 2013. His death, at his home, was as he would have wanted it. He passed away as he had lived his life: peacefully and gracefully, surrounded by his family.

Ariz was the dear and devoted husband for 54 years of Vera (Lilaj). Beloved father of Etleva Vantazi and her husband Valmir of Albania, Anila Piqani and her husband Bruno of Westwood, Sabina Shehaj and her husband Edmond of Albania, Ardita Bitri and her husband Ilvin Jaze of West Roxbury. Dear grandfather of Eljo & Eno Vantazi, Edward Piqani, Endi & Alvi Shehaj, and Era Jaze.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home Wednesday March 18, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral at the funeral home Thursday March 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
