Lake Havasu City, AZ
Arden Dale DuBois, 97, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 10, 2026. Born on November 16, 1928, in San Luis Obispo, California, to Cecil Scott DuBois and Velda Pauline DuBois, Arden proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee during World War II and the Korean War. Honorably discharged after his faithful service, he remained a devoted patriot throughout his life and continued supporting fellow veterans as a member of the American Legion Post #57 in Ash Fork, Arizona.
In 1953, Arden met the love of his life, Juanita Mae. After only three months, they married on March 13, 1953, beginning a devoted marriage that lasted 57 years until her passing. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. Arden owned a business in West Covina, California, where he and Juanita lovingly raised their three daughters. In the 1980s, they retired to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they enjoyed traveling across the United States in their RV, creating many cherished memories.
Arden lived a Christian life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his community. He found joy in model trains, camping, fishing, boating, watching Western and military movies, solving word search puzzles, and playing his favorite card game, Phase 10.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita S. DuBois; his parents, Cecil Scott DuBois and Velda Pauline DuBois; his sister, Marylou Patterson; and his son-in-law, John Mullen. Arden is survived by his three daughters, Diane Kaye Melancon of Tomball, Texas, Lori Ann Mullen of Manhattan Beach, California, and Lisa Marie DuBois of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; his grandchildren, Christopher Shuff, Danielle Bastoe (Scott), Shane DuBois (Haven), and Nicolette O'Dell (Devan); his great-grandchildren, Joliet and Julian Shuff, Scott Bastoe Jr. (Lindsey), Eric Bastoe (Kristen), Wyatt Bastoe, Phoenix and Forrest Beauregard, Tatum DuBois, and Evelyn and Sean O'Dell; and his great-great-grandchildren, Micah and Jake Bastoe. Arden’s life was defined by service, devotion, faith, and deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
