Pert, 81, died peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Pittsfield.He was born on March 26, 1944, in Castine, Maine, the son of the late Charles and Geneva (Candage) Pert. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1969-1971. He was employed as a cook for many years at the Governor's Restaurant in Bangor.Archie was a quiet man who liked word searches, puzzles and watching Westerns. He loved to wear his favorite shorts and sit in the sunshine.He is survived by his three children: Holly Cram, Amanda Martin and husband Gary, and Aaron Pert; five grandchildren: Ryan Cram, Jason Cram, Dillon Coleman, Kayla Coleman and partner Marshall Nash, and Spencer Martin; and four great-grandchildren: Alexavier, Zevulun, Lucarius, and Olivia.He was predeceased by his siblings: Terrance Pert and Sandra Eaton.A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at the Rural Cemetery, Town House Hill, Sedgwick, Maine, with military honors being presented for his service to our country.To leave a message of kindness or to share a memory, please visit www.shoreynichols.com.Care has been provided by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pittsfield.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
