Antonio Garcia Jr.

Antonio Garcia Jr., age 85, of Stanton, passed away on March 5, 2026. He was born on September 15, 1940, in Austin, Texas, the son of Antonio Sr. and Ursula (Granados) Garcia. Antonio graduated from Kyle High School with the class of 1960. On October 22, 1966, he married Diane L. Braman in Ionia.

Antonio worked for General Motors for 32 and a half years, retiring in 1998. He was an active man who loved being on the go, whether attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, taking fishing trips to Canada, or tending to his lawn. He also found joy in good food, gambling, traveling to Las Vegas, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Garcia of Stanton; his children, Lisa (Frank) Toth of Edmore, Richard Garcia and Mark Lee of St. Petersburg, Florida, and James (Sara) Garcia of Heartsville, Tennessee; grandchildren Jeffrey (Stacey) Vaughn, Michael Gleason, Justin Garcia, Logan Garcia, and Shelby Mais; great-grandchildren Jace Vaughn and Carter Vaughn; and siblings Jessie Garcia, Frances (Edward) Gauno, Mary (David) Aguinaga, Rosa Garcia, Dee (Kelly) Stansbury, Frank Garcia, and David (Libby) Garcia, along with several nieces and nephews.

Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Sr. and Ursula Garcia, and his siblings Teresa Salas, John Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Lucy Garcia, Joe Garcia, and Richard Garcia.
