Antonia Rivera ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.It is with great sadness and heartache that our family announce the passing of our mother, Antonia Salva Rivera at the age of 98. She went peacefully at Inspira Medical Center with her daughter by her side.She was predeceased by her husband, Efrain Rivera (2017); her son, Angel Mario Bermudez (2020); her daughter, Margarita Bermudez (2011) and as well as many other family members.Antonia was the first born daughter of the late Jose Antonio Salva Gonzalez and Maria Simona Arce Bermudez. She lived in Puerto Rico until moving to Vineland in 1957, where she remained living for 68 years until her passing. Antonia was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. In her younger years she visited and prayed for the sick that were at home and in the hospital until her health declined.Whether she was tending to her garden, knitting her blankets, or cooking something to eat. She found joy and happiness with family and friends remembering her younger days in Puerto Rico. She also enjoyed doing her word searches and had a love for animals, especially her dog "Princess" who is also feeling her absence.She is survived by her children, Irma Mercado (Hector), Migdalia Mercado, Jose A. Bermudez, Madelyn Salva (Juan Garcia), Benjamin Bermudez, Doris Mercado, Edith Santiago (Mario), Luis Bermudez and Rene Bermudez; 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers, 6 sisters and many extended family members.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Nurse Barbara and Hospice Nurses at Inspira who cared for their Mom. Please join us in wearing Mom's favorite color, purple, for the services.Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral liturgy at 11am at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S.
