She was born January 29, 1940, in Logga, Greece, raised in Athens, and came to the USA to live in Waukegan, IL in 1972. Antonia was a dedicated and hard-working woman who was formerly employed at Outboard Marine Corp. in Waukegan & later at Abbott Laboratories where she spent 25 years before retiring. She was a devoted member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society in Libertyville where her faith and community were an important part of her life. Antonia had a deep passion for flower gardening and found joy nurturing beauty in the world around her. A wonderful cook, she brought family & friends together through meals made with love, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, and her happiest moments were in her home in Agios Andreas, Greece, a place that held a special place in her heart and connected her with her roots. Her spirit, generosity, and love for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew & loved her.Surviving is her son, Peter (Lisa) Androus; 2 cherished grandchildren, James (Katherine) and John (Cassandra) Androus and by her beloved great grandchildren, Christiana, Panagiotis "Niko" and Sophia.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, her son, Nick and also by 4 brothers (Nick, John, Paul and Christos). Antonia is survived by her sister-in-law, Angela "Kiki" Petropoulos.A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 O'Plaine Road in Libertyville. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories. Arrangements by Burnett-Dane Funeral Home. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the church in her memory.
