Antone W. Rose, 62, of Acushnet died March 14, 2026 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.Born in New Bedford, son of the late Walter and Elizabeth I. (Gomes) Rose, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before moving to Acushnet.He was employed as a mental health coordinator at Corrigan Mental Health Center in Fall River.Antone was a strong, selfless, and compassionate man who enjoyed to love and serve others. He lived every day protecting, providing, and serving his family and community. A true reflection of what it means to be a champion for others and a vessel of God's love and grace.Antone was a member of Paul Revere Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Brockton. His service in the Masonic Lodge was deeply important to him, and he enjoyed connections with his Masonic Brothers. Antone Rose was anchored in his values and the Catholic faith.Antone Rose found joy in music and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed showing his love through cooking and being hospitable to all. He loved traveling abroad, especially in Thailand, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and the Philippines. He found joy in experiencing different cultures and history. He has established long-term friendships in the U.S. and around the world.Survivors include his 2 daughters, Brittney Rose of Weymouth and Kristin Rose of Altamonte Springs, FL; a sister, Anita Rose of Dorchester; and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Brian Rose, Debbie Monteiro and April Rose.His Funeral will be held on Friday, March 20th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, March 19th from 4-7 PM.
