Anthony 'Tony' Paul Licata

Anthony Paul “Tony” Licata, 86, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

Born on November 27, 1939, in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia, Tony was the son of the late Charles and Frances Theresa (Polizzi) Licata. He was preceded in death by his brother Chuck, his niece Marisa, and his nephew Salvato.

Tony spent his career at Weirton Steel Corporation, working in the Sheet Mill until his retirement. A U.S. Army veteran who served during peacetime, he also found great enjoyment in trap shooting throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Barbara (Parker) Licata, whom he married on August 19, 1967; his son, Anthony P. Licata, and Tonya Kelley of Toronto; and three brothers, Joseph (Shirley) Licata and Mike (Elaine) Licata, both of Weirton, West Virginia, and Sam (Kathy) Licata of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
