Anthony S. Longo

Anthony S. Longo, age 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Del Rio, Texas. Born on June 8, 1939, in Providence, Rhode Island, he lived a life defined by quiet strength, devotion to family, and faithful service to his country.

Anthony was married to his first wife, Maria de la Luz Longo, for 58 years. After her passing, he found happiness again with Maria Myrna Longo, and they shared seven loving years together. He served his country with pride, completing four years in Vietnam and twenty years in the United States Air Force before devoting another 38 years to the Department of Defense, where he earned numerous awards for his dedicated service. He remained an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he served as treasurer.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Myrna Longo; his sons, Anthony Longo (Deborah), Michael Longo (Juanita), and David Longo; and his grandchildren, Cesar, Vanessa, Michael, Anthony S., Cascidine, David James, Kimberly, Jennifer, and Brooke. He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren. Anthony was a loving and caring man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
