Indianapolis, IN
Mr. Anthony Lomax, 56, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and formerly of California, passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born on March 5, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, to Larry and Barbara (Lovejoy) Lomax. The following tribute was lovingly written by his devoted wife.
Anthony was a man whose warmth, humor, and devotion to family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had a natural gift for working with his hands and took great pride in caring for automobiles. Whether repairing, polishing, or detailing a vehicle, he was known for adding what family and friends affectionately called the “Anthony Touch,” transforming ordinary cars into shining reflections of his dedication and skill, really making them sparkle. Lowriders were his favorite. He loved attending car shows and his dream was to put his own lowrider together.
Above all else, Anthony treasured his family. Some of his happiest moments were spent laughing and playing with his grandchildren, whose presence brought him immense joy. He was deeply protective of those he loved and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. A talented handyman, Anthony was often the person to be called when something needed fixing, knowing he would gladly step in to help.
Anthony met Rhonda the first time in 1989. Their paths crossed when he was cruising down the street and she happened to be walking by. That simple moment sparked a connection that would grow into a lifelong bond. The two were married in 2001 and shared 25 years of love, partnership, and cherished memories together.
Anthony also had a wonderful sense of humor and a natural ability to make people laugh. His laughter, kindness, and generous spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Rhonda, Anthony is survived by his parents, Larry and Barbara Lomax; his siblings, Fred, Debbie, Kim, Michael, and Brianna; his beloved children, Angela, Amber, Aubree, and Akeelah; his niece, Deaja; his nephews, Dallas and Fred Jr.; his great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of extended and inherited nieces and nephews who were blessed to have him in their lives.
Anthony will be remembered for his loving heart, his steady presence, and the many ways he brought light and laughter to those around him. His memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends.
Anthony's family will be celebrating his life at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hendricks County. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time of loss.
