He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Hollar and Maxine Hollar Lynn (Clayton); and his siblings, William, Timothy, Michael Hollar and Ruth Ann Coventry.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Marie Hollar (Woodyard); his sons, Jeremiah Daniel Hollar of Newark, Thomas John Hollar of Madison Township and James Richard Hollar (Nicole) of Newark; his grandchildren, Rayann, Jason, Nicholas, Jaxson, Paige, Paisley and Gavin; his great grandchildren, Emmery and Ellis; and his siblings, John Norman Hollar (Phyllis) of Thornville and Mary Lou Banks of Powellton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service (179 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
