Anthony Joseph Vocco

Anthony Joseph Vocco, known affectionately as Tony, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on September 18, 1960, in Rochester, New York, he was the son of Sophie Margaret Vocco and the late Robert Dominic Vocco, Sr. Raised in Rochester, Tony graduated from Gates Chili High School and later worked in the maintenance department at the University of Rochester, where his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor were greatly appreciated.

In recent years, Tony made his home at Freedom Place in Weirton, West Virginia. There, his sense of humor and warm, infectious smile quickly won him many friends among his neighbors, who cherished the joy and laughter he brought into their lives.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Sophie Margaret Vocco; his daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Gutzmer and Melissa (Will) Kelly; his grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, Jason, and Matthew; his brothers, Robert (Joanne), David (Ashley), Michael, and James (Adele) Vocco; and several nieces and nephews.
