Anthony Corsaro

October 19, 1931 March 13, 2026

Fanwood, NJ

Anthony Corsaro, 94, passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey on March 13, 2026. Born in the Bronx, New York on October 19, 1931, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family, which included his father Joseph, mother Antoinette, sister Maria, who passed before he was born, and his older brother Frank, a world-renowned opera director.

A United States Marine veteran, Anthony served as a field radio operator during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 and continued in the Marine Corps Reserve until 1960. He went on to enjoy a long and distinguished career as a wholesale buyer, first with Ketchum Distributors and later with the McKesson Corporation. Known for his dedication and warm presence, he genuinely enjoyed his work and the people around him.

In 1960, Anthony married Norma Colella. The couple settled in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn after the passing of his mother and raised four sons together. He found great joy in sports, faithfully following his beloved New York Yankees and New York Giants. An avid reader, he also cherished his daily newspaper and his love of music, particularly opera and the classic songs of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Anthony was the life of every gathering, singing and dancing with effortless charm. A true gentleman who never judged others, he offered steady support and carried only love in his heart. In his later years, his greatest passion became spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma, age 90; his four sons, Anthony and his wife Mary, William and his wife Fran, Victor and his wife Roseanne, and Robert; ten grandchildren, Samantha, Isabella, Alexa, Dante, Anthony, Christian, Sofia, Amanda, Daniel, and Alana; and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Riley.
