He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ralph Mauney and Linda Ann Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Tina Mauney; his children, Anna Beasley and Casey Mauney (Haley); his stepparents, Bob Hartman and Deborah Mauney; his siblings, Jason Hartman (Donna Johnson) and Jean Horne (Scott); his aunt Christa Jewell (Chris); his siblings' children, Caroline Hartman, Kaitlyn Piper, Raymond Piper, Nathen Piper, Chase Hartman, David Judy, Wesley Piper, Matthew Judy and Austin Piper; his close friend Leanne Jolley; and his granddaughter Madilyn Mauney.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (606 S Dekalb St, Shelby, NC 28150). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
