Anthony Aldon Schmidt, age 57, of Somerville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born on December 20, 1967, in Santa Cruz, California, to Michael Stephen Minkler and Sandra Jeanne Schmidt, Anthony graduated from Kingsbury High School in Memphis and proudly served as a Navy Seabee. He later worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He found great joy in riding motorcycles, building custom trucks, shooting, camping, boating, hunting, traveling, and spending time at the beach.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lori Middleton Schmidt of Somerville, Tennessee; his sons, Vincent Schmidt and his wife Makayla of Ripley, Tennessee, and Freddie Romero and his wife Megan of Memphis, Tennessee; his sister, Barb Frimming and her husband Chris of Cincinnati, Ohio; his brother, Vincent Mueller and his wife Sandy of Dunnigan, California; and three grandchildren, Angela Schmidt, Jasper Schmidt, and Andrew Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Stephen Minkler and Sandra Jeanne Schmidt.
