Anselmo "Mo" Moreno Hernandez

Anselmo “Mo” Moreno Hernandez, 25, of Silvis, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis – Illini in Silvis.

Born on November 3, 2000, in Silvis, Mo was the son of Quinn and Tonya (Moreno) Hernandez. He graduated from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy in 2016 and from Alleman Catholic High School in 2020. Mo had a creative and gentle spirit. He loved drawing, reading graphic novels, visiting bookstores, building with LEGOs, watching his favorite movies and shows, singing along in the car, and spending time with every animal he met. He cherished traveling with his family and being part of every family gathering. His distinctive hair and fashion sense frequently earned him compliments that always brought a smile to his face.

Mo is survived by his parents, Quinn and Tonya Hernandez; his brothers, Seth and Anthony Hernandez; his maternal grandmother, Carmen Moreno Sanchez; his paternal grandparents, Wanda and Art Hernandez; his aunt, Rosa (Rob) Klein; his uncle, Chad Hernandez; and eight cousins, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
