Annie R. Glaze

Annie Ruth “Sis” Glaze, 78, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away on March 4, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 25, 1948, to the late Joe Davis Finley and Annie Mae Finley, she was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of the Chambers County School System. She retired from West Point Pepperell after more than 38 years of dedicated service.

Known affectionately as “Sis” to family and friends, Annie found her greatest joy in simple pleasures—fishing, cooking, and shopping—but nothing compared to the time she spent with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister whose quiet strength and warm presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Glaze; her parents; two brothers, Isaiah Finley and Joe Finley, Jr.; and one sister, Teresa Finley. Annie is survived by her two daughters, Belinda (Erick) Woody and Gloria (Jack) Finley, both of Lanett; two sisters, Mozell and Shirley Finley, both of Lanett; four grandchildren, Marco (Jackie) Finley, Samantha (Tabias) Finley, Hubert (Jocelyn) Finley of West Point, Georgia, and Tawanda Morgan of LaGrange, Georgia; eight great-grandchildren; a special niece, Bobbie J. (Russell) Williams; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory forward.
