Anne was born on January 6, 1936, in Stuart, MS, to her parents, Homer and Nellie Ray.Anne spent her childhood in Leland, MS and attended Leland High School where she was an active player on the basketball team. Anne attended Mississippi University for Women and Delta State University where she studied accounting and later made a career in real estate in Clinton, MS.She was a faithful member of Olive Baptist Church - Pensacola. Anne truly loved her church family where she was a care group leader in her Sunday School class for many years. She cherished all the close relationships and friendships that had developed over the years. Anne enjoyed playing card games, puzzles, and dominos. She looked forward to Monday game day at the church with friends. Her passion was playing tennis, and she had a fun competitive spirit participating in tournaments. She enjoyed being the captain of her tennis team.Anne loved spending time with her grandchildren and always traveled to see them during their school breaks. They were always so excited to see their Mimi!Those that met her children often referred to her as "the sweet lady." Anne will always be remembered as being beautiful, kind, thoughtful, caring and having a cheerful personality, and positive attitude. Her children were inspired by her love, compassion, and support to bring everyone together during life's challenges. Anne enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, walks in her neighborhood, group exercise classes, and baking-her Banana Nut Bread, Thanksgiving Stuffing, Green Congealed Salad and most famously her Coconut Cream Cake that we all wished for on our birthdays.Anne will truly be missed by so many people.Anne was predeceased by her parents, Homer and Nellie Ray, and her adored sister Clara Jean Rogers. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Greer Huskey; her children Terry Burgess, Lisa Dwernychuk (Grant), Lynn Bradshaw (Frank); her four beloved grandchildren Austin Andries (Hayley), Joshua and Dawson Dwernychuk, Haley Anna Burgess and great grandson Jack Andries and her brother Reece Ray (Angie).A Celebration of Life will be held at Olive Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.
