January 9, 1960 March 7, 2026

Virginia Beach, VA

Annette C. Faulkner, age 66, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 9, 1960, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Yvonne Morrison and Baldwin Muir, Annette brought warmth, faith, and a generous spirit to everyone she met.

In 1981, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Faulkner, Sr. Together they raised three children and embraced a life shaped by Kenneth’s military service, living in Naples, Italy, and Sasebo, Japan. Annette cherished those years of travel, especially exploring the historic sites of Rome and Florence, which created treasured family memories.

A graduate of Norfolk State University, Annette devoted her career to special education, where her compassion and steadfast commitment touched the lives of many. Her faith was the cornerstone of her character. A longtime member of New Life Church – Kempsville, she served faithfully in children’s ministry and modeled a life of praise, encouragement, and care for others. After retiring from teaching, she lovingly cared for her grandchildren, delighting in taking them to library programs, the aquarium, and on many joyful adventures. She also found great pleasure in walking along the beach, savoring the fresh air and vibrant boardwalk.

Annette is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Faulkner, Sr.; her son, Kenneth Faulkner, Jr.; her daughters, Jaclyn Ashe (Jeremy) and Kayla Pinder (Reginald); her cherished grandchildren, Brandy, Roman, Ava, Maya, Jordan, Naomi, and Reese; her mother, Yvonne Morrison; and her siblings, Yvette Thompson (Sylvan) and Conrad Muir. She was preceded in death by her father, Baldwin Muir. She will be deeply missed for her feisty and fearless personality, her generous heart, and her abiding love for her family and faith.
