February 9, 1935— March 9, 2026
Westminster, MD
Annette Adrienne Robertson, 91, of Westminster, Maryland, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts, died peacefully in her sleep on March 9, 2026, after a long struggle with dementia. Born on February 9, 1935, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Adrienne Fregeau Levesque and Homer Levesque, she was raised in Dennis Port, Massachusetts.
Predeceased by her brother Edgar and sister Jeanne, Annette is survived by her brother Daniel Levesque and sister-in-law Jill of Harwich, and her sister Lucille Hathaway Ball of Florida. She was married first to the late John Norwell McCormick of Harwich and later to the late Retired Army Major Harold Jesse Robertson, who courted her twice—once before his posting in Alaska and again in later life—marrying her in 2009 and bringing her to his home in Westminster.
Annette is also survived by her beloved son Wesley James McCormick and daughter-in-law Priscilla of West Yarmouth, granddaughter Melissa Morais of Allston, step-son Bruce Robertson and his partner Leni Bader of Eugene, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews both on and off Cape Cod.
Early in her career, Annette worked in California for the airline industry, including Thompson Aircraft Tire Corporation, and later for John Hancock Life Insurance in Boston. Her heart remained on Cape Cod, where she served for twenty years as Executive Secretary to the President and CEO of Cape Cod Hospital. Known for her impeccable shorthand and organizational skills, she was frequently called upon to serve as secretary and note-taker for organizations and events. Annette loved music and possessed a singing voice so enchanting that listeners compared it to Christine from The Phantom of the Opera. She also had a deep passion for gardening, where everything seemed to bloom around her. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her son, and centered her life around them. A private, informal interment will be held in Dennis for close family.
